Gulf Coast 5 Star RV Park is a good option for living if you work in one of the refineries around our park. In fact, Gulf Coast 5 Star Park is a wonderful place for short and long-term guests taking advantage of our strategic location near many major employers.
Surfside Beach
That’s why a good place to relax is Surfside Beach, just five miles southeast of the RV park on the Gulf Coast. Interesting things await visitors to this small city of just over 500 people.
Fishing: While the depth of water off the Surfside Beach coast changes dramatically, fishermen enjoy bay and offshore fishing. The deep water, coral reefs, natural bottom and offshore oil platforms make for a perfect place for fish to gather including red snapper, ling, kingfish, bonita, flounder, redfish and speckled trout.
Boating: You will be in the Gulf very quickly launching from the dry stack marinas, boat ramps, beach launches and traditional marinas. Boating is perfect for a relaxing day on the Gulf, a ride up the intercostal or a fruitful fishing trip.
Other Activities: There are some shops in Surfside Beach mainly geared toward marine merchandise. Restaurants include Kitty’s Purple Cow Café and Pier 30. If you are so inclined, you can forget about boating and eating and ride a horse along the beach with Beach Bum Horse Rides. Only the hoof prints on the beach will tell your tale!
